Levar Ramsay - Founder/Executive Director
Levar Ramsay, the founder of Go Team International, is a driven leader dedicated to positively impacting the lives of those in need. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1977, Levar migrated to the United States in 1982. Growing up with five siblings, he developed a strong sense of resilience and empathy. Raised in a church community, he witnessed the transformative power of compassion and the gospel. During high school, Levar excelled in football and baseball, learning valuable lessons about teamwork and perseverance that serve him well to this day.
Married for 11 years and a father of four daughters, Levar draws inspiration from his family. Their presence fuels his desire to create a better world for future generations. To say "Levar loves his family" is an understatement. Go Team International, founded by Levar in 2016, serves as a beacon of hope for the marginalized and a catalyst of redemption for those in need of the gospel.
Levar's visionary spirit extends beyond his non-profit work. He has successfully partnered with Landstar, establishing Gorilla Freight, LLC. This business venture has provided him with valuable experience and insights, enhancing his ability to lead Go Team International effectively.
Levar's faith plays a central role in his life and work. As an active member of the Christ Only Community in Loganville, GA, he finds strength, guidance, and a sense of mission, which, in turn, overflows into a burning desire to help others. His spirituality underscores his commitment to serving others and meeting tangible and intangible needs.
Go Team International operates with a multifaceted approach to address immediate relief needs while striving for long-term empowerment and lasting change. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by the underserved, impoverished, and incarcerated population, Go Team International places a particular focus on restoring dignity. By fostering collaborations with local communities, grassroots organizations, and government agencies, the organization maximizes its impact and tailors its efforts to meet the specific needs of each community.
Balancing his commitments, Levar understands the importance of family values and a supportive environment for personal and professional success. Levar's journey from Kingston, Jamaica, to becoming a global changemaker is a testament to the potential within each individual to make a difference.
Sonia Y. Morgan - Treasurer/Board of Directors
Prepare to be inspired by the remarkable journey of Sonia Y. Morgan, Treasurer of Go Team International's Board of Directors, a devoted evangelist and teacher whose life is a testament to unwavering dedication to spreading the love of Christ and transforming lives.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Sonia's heart of compassion and her relentless desire to make a difference have been the driving forces throughout her life. From a young age, she felt a deep calling to serve the Lord, touching the lives of young people, seniors, and those facing hardship.
With over four decades of devoted service, Sonia's passion for doing God's work burns brightly. As an evangelist, speaker, and teacher, she equips youth with the tools and strategies they need to live purposefully, discover their strengths, and create lives of significance and impact.
Sonia's dedication extends far beyond her own family. Together with her loved ones, she founded Our Father's Love of Georgia, Inc., later renamed Expressions of Hope, a non-profit organization that shares God's message of salvation and cares for the less fortunate in society.
Driven by her deep love for others, Sonia tirelessly ministers to and supports youth, especially teenage mothers, and volunteers her time with the elderly. In recognition of her commitment, she was ordained as an Evangelist in July 2009 by Bible Teachers International.
Sonia's belief in the power of prayer led her to establish the Power of Prayer Outreach Ministry, a branch of Expressions of Hope. Through fervent prayer and communication, she reaches out to lost souls, empowering individuals to utilize their gifts for the Kingdom's glory. Weekly Corporate Prayer gatherings witness the incredible impact of Sonia's faith.
Sonia's dedication knows no bounds. She has served on missions overseas, working alongside Father Richard HoLung and the Missionaries of the Poor ministry in Jamaica. For ten years, she has devoted two weeks annually to serving in a home for the ill and disabled in Kingston, Jamaica. Her greatest joy lies in understanding the challenges faced by today's teens and using her own experiences to provide guidance and support.
A captivating speaker, Sonia's heartfelt messages have resonated throughout Jamaica and the United States. Her leadership within her church, High Praise Worship Center in Duluth, GA, is marked by her roles as Youth Coordinator, Trustee, Deaconess, and senior Ministry Leader.
Alongside her loving husband, Claude, of 32 years, Sonia found great joy in raising four children, three boys and one girl. Her family is a constant source of inspiration and support, as they walk alongside her in her journey of faith. Additionally, Sonia cherishes the blessings of thirteen grandchildren who bring immeasurable happiness to her life.
Her dedication to her community and her love for those in need continue to shine as beacons of hope, inspiring all who encounter her remarkable journey as Treasurer of Go Team International's Board of Directors.
Kiersten Wiley-Ramsay - Secretary/Board of Directors
Kiersten Wiley-Ramsay is the remarkable and outstanding secretary of Go Team International, a non-profit organization committed to driving positive change globally. Born in Orange County, New York, in 1980, Kiersten grew up as the youngest of four siblings, with two sisters and one brother. Being raised in the church and serving three years in the armed forces, she developed a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
In 2009, Kiersten relocated with her family to Georgia, where her heartfelt dedication to helping the less fortunate began to flourish. With a strong administrative background, she previously worked alongside her husband, Levar, as the administrator for their telecommunications agency. Currently, Kiersten lends her support to their freight broker agency, Gorilla Freight, LLC.
Guided by a higher calling, Kiersten and her husband embarked on a journey in 2013, partnering with like-minded family members to establish Our Father's Love of Georgia, Inc., later renamed Expressions of Hope. This particular non-profit organization is dedicated to community outreach, raising funds to provide nourishment and clothing to Atlanta's homeless community, organizing holiday dinners for youth group homes, and delivering toys to underprivileged children during the Christmas season.
In addition to her work with Expressions of Hope, Kiersten actively collaborates with her home church, Christ Only Community, located in Lilburn, GA. Supported by their church, Kiersten and her husband actively engage in monthly trips to Atlanta, where they extend a helping hand to those experiencing homelessness. With compassion as their driving force, they distribute essential supplies such as food, toiletry bags, and, on occasion, clothing. Their commitment to uplifting the lives of the less fortunate reflects the profound impact they strive to make in their community.
Kiersten's ultimate goal is to fulfill her divine purpose, primarily through exhortation and outreach. She finds immense joy in encouraging and assisting others, which is why she also serves as a Sunday school teacher for the children at Christ Only Community. Her love for children makes this role particularly fulfilling. Kiersten's guiding motto is "one body, one goal to please Christ and win souls," a reminder of her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact.
Beyond her professional and volunteer commitments, Kiersten cherishes precious moments with her loving family. In union with her husband, Levar, they have four beautiful daughters whom they hold dear. Whether embarking on exciting family adventures or simply enjoying cozy movie nights and talent shows at home, family time is a treasured priority.
Kiersten firmly believes that working for a non-profit organization is the most effective way to make a lasting difference in the lives of others. She has a great appreciation for Go Team International's dedication to enhancing the quality of life, both nationally and internationally, one program at a time.
In addition to her role as secretary at Go Team International, Kiersten remains actively involved in supporting Expressions of Hope, a charity that holds a special place in her heart. Their commitment to serving the less fortunate aligns perfectly with Kiersten's lifelong passion for helping those in need.
